We contribute to the lecturing, methodics development and preparation of a forthcoming handbook (in a form of methodic texts and interactive multimedia application)
Project is aimed at elementary and secondary teachers who want to use productive media-education methods (learning by doing) and consider media-education as a self-standing crosscut subject. The pupils and students have the chance to learn the media realm by doing, from a position of a creator/ author.
The project is being realized in 5 cities in the Czech Republic and is co-financed by the European Social Fund, the Czech Ministry of Education and by the City of Prague.
Creative seminars for pedagogues focusing on photography not as an artefact only but primarily as a communication tool and process (photography semantics, cultural role and context, social dimension of image). Seminars took place in the Modern Art Collections of the National Gallery premises, which was the opportunity for the participants to reflect and interact with the artworks and draw links between their own creation and approaches and tendencies in modern art practise.
Around 60 participants - teachers, art teachers, university students.
In collaboration with the Cultural Centre Media Artes, Ohrid – supported by the Felix Meritis grant
Working with a groups of young people on the topics of multiculturalism. Participants from Ohrid, Resen and Bitola were involved for 5 weeks in an intensive process.
We were using and combining means from visual and performing art together with simple technological means (video camera, photo camera, sound recording etc).
We were focusing on the inner experience of each participant and the group as a whole, rather than on results. The meaning of the process was to let the participant explore (and experience) basic things such as individual identity, communication and the ability to deal with “difference” and „the other”, being part of a group (community).
(Participants: school kids, high school and college students)
Youth and New Media. Connecting new media and theater approaches to facilitate self -expression of young people experiencing social disorientation. Search for appropriate and creative role of technological means for young people’s every day life situations. Topics like “My day”, “Self-portrait – one hover walk in my town just for me”, “My mental map of the town”, “Interviews”...
The process included research in the local community, investigation different layers of the town, collecting and processing audiovisual material and working with participant’s physicality.
The final outcome was a multimedia performance where multimedia met physical actions and expression. The presentation combined subjective stories, memories and emotions with the mosaic of various common issues of the town. We considered the town inhabitants to be the main audience.
